RIZE KIBLEDAGI HAFIZ HAJI YUSUF YILMAZ MOSQUE

    Located in Guneysu Region of Rize, the mosque was built with wood on a 3700 feet high mountain during 1800s. It is named as Kibledagi (Qibla Mountain) since it faces the qibla direction and provides full city view. Although the mosque was damaged during a fire in 1960, it was rebuilt by the support of Hafiz Hodja Yusuf Yılmaz, one of the greatest scholars of his time. The mosque was damaged by time, and it was renovated along with surrounding roads in accordance with Ottoman architecture under the supervision of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in 2015, and it is used as a praying center for many people.

     

     

    RIZE WATER MILL, DIBEK STONE AND SERENDER

      NAYLA (GRANARY) Nayla, the traditonal architectural part of the black sea region, is used for the protection, drying and storage of food (especially corn, legumes ,oil , cheese , winter pear , special apple , date palm, medlar )from pests. It is a wooden and roofed structure set on poles. FLOUR MILL Water mills have an important place in Anatolian culture. They are used particularly for grinding corn. It is built next to a stream or river because they usually work with water. They are generally village common property. MORTAR STONE: Mortar stone is a hard and large stone carved inside where the bran is separated by beating the corn and wheat with wooden mallets. They usually stand in front of the common mills

      ŞEBİNKARAHİSAR INDEPENDENCE FOUNTAIN

        It was built in Giresun, Şebinkarahisar by Mayor Hüsnü Bey in 1927 in commemoration of the National Struggle and the foundation of the Republic. The Independence Fountain, which was first built in front of the former municipality building, was moved to the city square in 1985. The roof of the fountain was added after this relocation.
